Let's talk C6 vs C7 Styling
So, putting aside any performance differences, what style do you prefer; C6 or C7?
I like them both, but I think I like the C6 a bit better since it is a nice merging of both dignified and aggressive styling, meaning like you could go to a fancy party and then right to a wild after party and it looks fitting for both
The C7 is all out aggressive styling, which is cool, but not fitting for all occasions/moods.
Both are pretty bad *** though!

I think that if the C6 had the C7 headlights, then it would look better all around. Especially with the ZR1 wide body conversion (if you don't have a ZR1). I plan on eventually doing the full conversion and then adding C7 headlights.

C7 just had too busy of an exterior, plus I didn't like the taillights.
For several reasons, I had 5 different C6s before I got rid of my last one 2 months ago.

People are sure passionate about those taillights I like the looks of the C7 just fine. If you smoothed our the sharp edges, you essentially have a C6.
I love the history of the Vette but I was never an exclusive vette guy anyway. I don't care what make it is as long as I like the looks.
I always loved the C3 (my favorite sports call of all time) but never was much interested in any of the other generations. I thought they were pretty average looking.
The C6 eventually started to grow on me and I think the C7 is a step in the right direction.

Having owned both, the C7 is the choice for me. Looks aggressive, and you round tail light lovers I was one for a year or so but have to say the C6 now looks dated.

Hard to beat the C6 body style imho. But I also think the C7 is a fine looking machine, and yes tail lights and all. I guess I'd have to say I,m rather torn between the two. As it is I'm still really diggin my 2013 GS vert. However if I could afford it (and that is a great big If!) I would seriously consider a new Z06 vert.

I think GM did a great job with both. I love the more classic C6 style. But I also love the C7 aggressive looks. I just got my C6 and love it. But if I could have afforded it I would have gotten a C7. But at the same time if I had the 40k for a used C7.. I'd have a hard time not cross shopping a C6 z06. I love them all.

I really wasn't a fan of the C7 styling when they came out. But the C7 Z06/GS are growing on me. I don't think I'll ever like C7s more than widebody C6s though. Think they got the C6 just right. Can't wait to see what's next!
If you'd posted this in the C7 section, it'd be anarchy.

I have a feeling that in the future the C6 widebody cars are going to be snagged up as classics more so than the C7. The C7 looks fantastic in today's world but the C6 is going to age better in terms of exterior looks.
The C6 is just a smooth easy car to look at and appreciate.

Would be difficult to prove out -- BUT if one could reverse the Eras, the C7 Style was made in 2005-2013 and the C6 Grandsport style was 2014 and on the C7 style would look dated due the Fugly *** end.

I will probably move up to a C7 (or C8?) in a couple of years, but I don't think anything is more cool than watching the headlights on a C4 when they open and close.

I can fit in a C6, and can't fit in a C7. Looks are irrelevant if you can't even get into the car.

I think both cars are nice and you could take them to any party, store, or just about anywhere except off roading. lol
I mean, it's a car, we're not talking Frat Party vs. Black Tie event.

Not this again! OP, welcome to the forum. Do you own a corvette or are you looking and trying to make up your mind?

To me the taillight treatment of the C7 has a Pontiac look, and I'm still partial to smooth lines vs sharp creases, but overall the design has grown on me. I don't use rev matching and even if I did, I still think the repurposing of the paddles seems like a cost-cutting move to use the same wheel. And 6th in the C6 is already more than enough, plus the shift gate on the C6 is already so close together I have to be careful not to get in the wrong groove. Also, most of the C7 manuals I looked at the center armrest was elbow-wrinkled even with low miles. It seems to me almost like a manual was an afterthought on these cars.
That said, the biggest reason I went with a C6 was cost. If I had gotten a C7 I would have needed to sell my Porsche. This way I get to keep them both.
