Default DIY black headlights

Just wanted to post up my headlights. Lenses were crap and done. All scratched, fadded, glazed, whatever you call it. Looked up some DIY on YouTube bought some lenses off HPI vendor here and took a shot at it. I tell you this was not easy. Especially all the writeups state oven baking at 250 for 20 mins. At 250 for 20 mins that glue was not budging at all. I saw someone post up they did it at 350 so I tried it. 350 does the trick but the lights were hot as *****. You need some good gloves to guard your hands. Anyway you still need to work fast but at that temp the glue is loose. Once open I hung the bezel in the garage and applied some matte black brake paint. They look awesome now.

Looks great. I wish black headlights weren't so expensive. I don't feel like baking mine.

Thanks guys!
I tell you though this was hard enough with the headlights taken out for me by a shop for other work being done...
If i had to take them out myself and do all of this, whoa...
I feel like after the first set i could def do it again a lot easier.
Also at 350 degrees some of the housing melted because it was touching the oven wall. It was not anything damaging or any important part but it could have been.

Best instructions available for removing headlights from car and replacing lens. These were my original instructions for the past several years.
