Default Should I start a Go Fund Me page?

Found a 10 year old that needs help. The poor thing has been neglected it's entire life.

It's in upstate NY, not far from our new home. It needs a new home. A loving home.

It's 2007 Z06 with only 78 miles on it. 30 of those miles were applied by the foster home (stealership) it is now at. Poor thing has never seen a gas station, or a car wash. Has never made the pilgrimage to Carlisle, let alone it's birth home, Bowling Green. It has never had an oil change. Or bug guts plastered on it's nose. It has never been the target of pigeons or seagulls.

With your generous donation, we will adopt this poor car, and give it the loving home it deserves. We will take it to cruise nights, and perhaps drip ice cream on the leather. We will take it to Carlisle, where it can frolic with it's extended family. We will event take it back to it's birth home, where it can see it's baby siblings be born. We will take it to famous landmarks, and take photos, to share with you, to prove that this car is being loved. We will take this car to HPDE events and drive the car as it was designed to do. Take the car to breath-taking speeds, just as fast as it is willing to go.

However, we can't do this without your generous donation. Please give from the heart, which is right next to your wallet, so this 2007 Z06 can live the life it was meant to live.

If you're not already in sales, you should be.

That was an awesome pitch. Not good enough to pry any money from my wallet, but awesome non-the-less.

I've witnessed far less legitimate causes that have garnered thousands. You should give it a shot. Be sure to keep your brilliant description.

I think that taking ownership of that poor Corvette is a very admirable task, that I am hoping it all works out for you (and the car).

I just have one request that you honor when you do take that car home ... The first thing you must do is remove these two hood safety catches from the car.

You may need a cutting torch to get rid of them, but they have no business on a C6 !

And there is a pretty good weight savings involved here too (think quicker 1/4 mile ETs)

.

Ahhh, a resurrection of the 'ole hood latch. Now that's funny.

Ahhh, reminds me of those sad puppy dog commercials that try to get you to adopt a pet. Well guess what, it worked. I'm also willing to take it in if you guys are willing to pay for it. It just pulls at my heart strings to hear about such atrocities. I'll also give it a good home. I'll pull my wife's car out of the garage and leave it in the street so that poor corvette can have a nice home.

No problem for me at all. Budget $2000.00 for new tires, belts, hoses and replace all fluids and you have a brand new car. Unless rodents got t it (which would be obvious), what else that would go bad with time and under 100 miles?

Serious? You really expect members to help you buy a very expensive toy that others work their entire lives to own? I've contributed to a lot of good causes but this is not one of them.
