Default Good deal?

First vette purchase, yadda yadda yadda. I feel like y'all know the drill. 2007 vette with 93k miles. Coupe. Black on black on black on black. Brand new tires with 2 miles on em, all seasons. Aftermarket headers and straight piped out the back which means engine light is on becauzse o2 sensors. 17500 out the door. Any opinions would be so greatly appreciated.

I assume you need to fix the light if you want to get it to pass inspection. Depends on where you live, I guess.

Without seeing the car in person and doing a visual inspection.
$17,500 for a 93k mile '07 sounds like a solid deal.
You could probably pick up a full '05-'07 exhaust for $500 on the high end if the light concerns you.

Or.....make fixing the light, and getting a valid smog clearance, a condition of purchase.

Where do you live? If in California, those headers gotta go along with the straight pipe. You can find oem exhaust parts for sale from this forum. Finally got mine done, smogged and legal.

Greg, glad to see you finally got it all squared away. Where did your stock exhaust system? Are you getting the same heat wave we are?

I am thinking the guy does live in "Cali". He will have to get a stock system, probably hard to find in CA, and will have to have the dealer to the mandatory recall, right? He should be able to sell the headers and pipes for the same or more than he pays for the stock system.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I live in Missouri, Cali is just a nickname. I really like your suggestion buckmeister, I'll probably end up taking those headers off and trying to trade them for stock and get something that won't make the light go off. I will update when the car is officially bought, thanks everyone!
