Default What's the difference from wet filter and dry filter

I was going to buy Airaid for the my C6 LS2, and on the website there asking for which filter I want.

I know wet filter is sprayed, but what about dry filter, when it get's dirty you replace it, or is there method of cleaning it.

Thanks for any help, to exclaim the difference.

I like the dry better. I use wet on my corvette and dry on camaro. The common problem I see with the wet/oiled filters is guys add to much oil and it soaks on the MAF deteriorating performance till someone tells them to clean the MAF.

I've used them both, and I prefer the dry, not really sure why. It is easy to over-oil the wet, but if you get it right, they filter for a long time without service.

I have also had both dry and oiled filters, and I prefer the dry.

Easier to manage and less messy with no possible way to gunk up your MAF.

I had an Airaid dry filter on my GS at one time.

The dry filter is cleaned in soap and water just like the oiled type ... except, after it's completely dry after washing, you don't oil it.

I would get the dry.
