Default Searching for GT-1 decal match

Hi. I have a yellow C6 which I would like to match the original GM GT-1 decal stripe material so that I can continue the stripe down the rear facia. The center gun metal grey decal material has blue, green and red flake in it when the sun hits it and I've been unsuccessful matching the material at local shops. Does anyone know where I can purchase 48" of both the center gun metal grey and the silver decal material?
If unable to place the material, It was suggested that ascertain who produced the original decal kit for GM (3M, Avery, Oracel) so that I might contact the manufacturer?

You might try contacting Mike at Vettestripes. If anyone would have it I would think it would be him.

Thanks. We've already been in touch. He was under the impression that the center material was gloss black, which it is on part of the forward part of the hood decal. He is resending me some samples to see if we can get a match this time around.

Turns out, Mike was unable to come up with anything that matched. Close on the silver, but nothing that came even close on the other.

What you are going to find is that they are not standard cast or extruded vinyl so you are not going to find an exact match.

The vinyl most likely is either silk screened (painted) or printed.

I've gone through this more times than I can count with recreation restoration decals for motorcycles.

I believe all of the OEM C6 decals were painted and clear coated vinyl ... so its unlikely you will find a matching vinyl.
