Drove home the New2Me car
2008 M6 3LT Z51
Just tuned up (plugs, wires, filter) 700 miles before I picked it up. Has the NPP exhaust with a M2W switch and has the skip shift eliminator.
Picked it up in Tecumseh, Michigan, Tuesday morning and drove out before the weather got bad to Alabama. Averaged 24.7MPG. Wow!
Also has a replaced shifter ****, Z06-style chrome rims, and LED lights replace all outside (except headlamps).
Thoughts:
I will have to get used to the pad/button to open the door. Haven't got the timing down, yet. I've seen a mention of a video to clean the pads. May have to try that.
I love the rumble when the M2W switch is set, but it sure does make it nice to quiet it down for long trips.
The Nav/Bose doesn't impress me.
Michelin Pilot A/S runflats ride okay.
Can't wait to put the power top down.
Anyway, I'm stoked. Still haven't decided what I will do with the C4.
Thanks for looking!
Owner unveiling in his garage.
Clean engine bay.
Thirty minutes after taking possession and found my first photo op!
Home in my garage 700+ miles later (and through lots of rain).
My view the last two days.
Love how they put the emblems there.

Congrats, nice C6!
My $.02 on the C4 is to keep it! Just have 2 Vettes! I'm a little biased though....my first Vette was a C4 and I've regretted getting rid of it ever since the moment I did it!

I'm gonna give it some time to think and sleep on it.

Yeah, I only need replace a couple of pieces of weatherstrip and fix the antenna (motor is good, ribbon is bad) and the car is near perfect. It has the J55 brakes, the performance gear (it's an A4) and the two-tone interior. Drives tight like a new one.

Just buy a 4 post lift and stack them! That's what I'd do if I still had my C4! I always loved how the entire front clip comes up exposing the finder wells and engine bay. My C4 was a white vert with red interior, 1989 model. Love my C6, night and day in terms of improvements between the two, but always like the mid to late years of the C4, also since that was my first, just kinda miss it.

Congrats, I love that color and still think it's one of the best on any sports car.
The factory nav is terrible and the speakers are just OK. There are many retrofit options available, I highly recommend calling Crutchfield and discussing with them if you're interested in an upgrade. They can meet any budget, and pretty much anything you buy will be better than stock.
The factory runflats are also pretty terrible, many replace for non-runflats like Michelin Pilot Super Sports, Michelin P4S's, or other performance summer tires.
