To be the best you have to beat the best. They all want that chance to say they beat a corvette.

It's like being toughest kid on the block. You get challenged a lot because people want to see if you are as good as your reputation.

Who would want to waste their time with racing a base c6?

Sometimes a base c6 is not just a base c6!

These guys are not astute enough to discern the differences between the various renditions of a vette. To them it's a vette and that's what matters. Now if you are implying that a base vette isn't really a vette.............. Some like myself are happy to be able to have bought a used base vette.

Don't really understand this comment. A base C6 (even the LS2) is capable of whooping plenty of cars on the street.

JDM enthusiasts calls me out from time to time wanting to see where they stand against my base 2008. Of course it's always on their terms. Maybe b/c I'm asian while driving in a vette oppose to driving JDM. I get criticize a lot by JDM fanboys but appraised by real car enthusiasts. I've come to understand that those JDM haters are jealous b/c they can't afford a V8.

To the OP.. I guess I'm the polar opposite.. I have been chomping at the bit looking all over town trying to find a worthy opponent to race. I blew the doors off a supercharged GT and have been wanting to run across a modded C6Z or C7Z or even a heavily modded base C6.. haven't yet unfortunately

So no these people who rev up next to me. I gladly rev back and if on an empty road I'll gladly run them.

Yes, I get a huge kick from watching the guy floor the pickup or Civic!
Being tailgated not so much of course.

I was on a 3 lane road and pulled up to a light one time and there was a Chevy colbalt (sounded like it had a turbo), and mustang next to me. Behind me was a C7. The colbalt and mustang were reving trying to get me to join in. When the light turned green they both took off meanwhile I just took off normally. On the way to the next red light (~50ft down the road) the C7 pulled up next to me and we both just shook our heads..

Just today I was at a stop light in a 2 lane road getting onto the freeway. I got a ******* Camry next to me. I was planing on a nice little 2nd gear pull to 65. So I do..I slow to like 62 and set cruise as to not get a ticket. And the Camry just blows past me a good 15 sec later( took a long time to catch up lol) And pass me at 80 when Im just cruising. Im just like WTF. Lol

LOL. Awesome. I love the fellow Vette wave and acknowledgement. However C7 C6 and C5 drivers always wave but C4s just ignore me. LoL.

you must not live in la
just revving your engine or accelerating brings severe consequences
Get paranoid driving mine out here. Its loud, geared low, just keeping up with traffic soundslike youre in it but youre not. Kids have no clue about this, they can just say"Your racing" and goodbye car.

Of course it's always on their terms.
let me guess, from a "roll"..ugh. Lame
