Default How long do you sit in your corvette?

What's up guys? How long does everyone sit in their car? At times I feel it's super cool just to sit and look in the mirrors at the wide rear fenders.

Eventually, though I have to get out because the garage just gets too hot. At that point it's not cool anymore; it's kind of dorky to sweat that much.

I normally am 98.6, how about you?

I don't want to be part of the water bottle on the windshield epidemic that has hit the Corvette community so I sit in my car all day.

My first one (new C2) was about the only one I did that with. Never did it with the next 6.

I sat in it tonight after supper and tried to make the seat go up and down, but it wouldn't do anything but hum.

So I stared at the wall for a while, took a nap, checked my wallet, checked the light bulbs and switches in the garage, checked the concrete floor and called it a night. The stress was just a little bit too much.

I do like to go out in the garage and sit in a lawn chair and look at it.

Swapping a w with a ng sure makes a difference in responses.
I run 98.4 if I have the AC on.

Seriously? What are we here 16 yo with our first car?

It's a flippin car. I guess I'm not easily amused ?

This forum needs a section specifically for "carlove". Sorry but its weird to me.

I think Mrs. Ow is tweaking the "other" thread.

I do like the view from behind the wheel.

Not being a DD every time I push the start button it is like the first time all over.

Longest I have ever sat in mine was driving about 500 miles in one nonstop stretch (note: I still have my "submarine bladder"- kind of like a reverse camel - I can go for ever without a head break).

I was making about 80-85 mph on average so it was only about 6 hours.

Only time I sit in the car is if I'm driving it. Don't go out and look at it, don't sit in it just to sit. Its a car. I've had 10 of them.

I think I'll go sit in mine now. Do I have to lower the seat if I keep it in the garage?

Do you guys make car noises when you're sitting in your Corvettes in the garage? The C6 is a really beautiful car (unlike the Hot Wheels looking C7 with all those grilles and vents) and it always takes my breath away when I see it sitting in the garage, but I don't get into it unless I'm intending to drive it. Besides, I have those two '69 Mustangs sitting in the garage too (one convertible and one fastback) so there is a selection of cars that attract me in there. Varoom! Varoom! Screech!

"Fontuky" . . . ? Who/what the hell is that? More Desert Rat slang?

Just think: If you'd have voted for Hillary, she would have stopped global warming and it wouldn't be so friggin' hot where you are.

You're welcome.

Wow, it sounds like you live in Hinges Of Hell, AZ. Even here in temperate NorCal where the temp is scheduled to hit only 107* today, I couldn't sit in the car in the garage unless I either 1) had it running with the A/C on or 2) was baking bread and had the dough in the car to make it rise.
