Auto Transmission pan size.
Changing my C6 2005 base transmission fluid soon. Called NAPA auto parts for new filter and gasket which seems to be in a kit.
The tech threw me a curve when he asked if I had a deep pan or shallow pan.
Anyone have the depth measurements of the deep pan, so I can compare mine ?
Or the link to previous discussion ?
Thanks

Pan gasket should be the same but will come in cork, brown paper type or black neopreme and sometimes the thick re-usable black rubber ribbed type.
The pan depth refers to the filter pick-up tube length. Should be the deep type. If unsure take your old filter with you and match up with new.
Older 700R4, 4L60, 4L60E early pans from about 2000 back used the short, shallow type filter pickup tube.
