Tail Lights, Moisture and Dirt
Anyone ever tried or considered drilling a small hole in the body behind each of the 4 tail lights to let moisture drain away? I am on my first 'vette and I removed the tail lights so I could clean all the dirt that had accumulated behind and under them. While I had the lights out I thought about drilling a small hole to allow water to drain instead of laying there forever, but I only thought about it!

Common fix for the dreaded taillight issue. We used to do it all the time on C-5's which have the same problem. There are also taillight seals available from several forum vendors that will seal the taillight assembly to the taillight opening prevent water and dirt from accumulating under the light assembly. I would recommend using the seals instead of drilling a hole in the rear facia.
