That's not even worth showing (makes some sick to look at---a wrecked Corvette) unless it's in front of a High School as a piece of junk to remind the kids---the same ones who aren't interested in cars any more.

Yep. Lots of self proclaimed race drivers fall prey to a car thats designed to handle well. They just simply don't understand that when these cars break loose you best be ready and know what you're doing. Hope no one was hurt.

No doubt most are totally driver error and blame it on idiot controls.

I did it one time on a second gear pull, thank you, but I'll leave it alone from now on. Nothing crazy happened, but it was a different animal no doubt.

Did it one time when car was still all stock...2 lane road, 1st gear roll, about 25 mph. Swapped ends twice before I could do anything. Drove home and changed pants. Done. Never again unless its in a very, very wide open space with absolutely nothing and no one around.

Now you've seen first-hand why I said not to turn it off on yours without obtaining adequate experience first. That club member learned a very expensive, and probably painful, lesson.

Yup I do!! Can't even imagine. He got the car replaced by insurance but one never knows the real story.

Newbie here. Bought an 06 C6 convertible earlier this year. The original owner, an older gentleman, was out riding one day in 2011 when challenged and smoked by a youngster in a Camaro. So, he decided to have some mods installed including a ProCharger.

A buddy of mine (another older gentleman) that buys cars, motorcycles and guns to wipe on then sell, found the car, bought it, wiped on it for 6 months then sold it to me.

I was told recently by a previous 08 C6 Owner with a ProCharger he installed not to use TC because the computer would start decreasing power while the ProCharger was trying to increase power and this could be harmful to the engine.

Can anyone in this General Discussion Forum provide additional info?

My traction control was tuned out 13 years ago.
