Default New to the Vettes, got a c6

Hello,
located in Ontario Canada, and I'm new to the Vette world.
I have a 2005 Corvette C6 auto Trans.
I'm looking for some performance modifications that could be done?
and parts at a reasonable price?
Billy Boat Bullet Exhaust? Vararam Cold Air Intake? Headers?
any other ideas?
I would also like to switch my 2005 automatic shifter ****, to the 2006 and up shifter. Can that be done?
If anyone is selling some parts, please let me know.

Moving this over to the C6 General section for answers to your questions, but for parts you might want to look in the C6 Parts for Sale/Wanted section or just check out some of the forum vendors.

Default New as well

I got my 2005 a couple months ago this one is 6 speed manual. It sounds really cool had crome headers and i figured a tuned exaust. It is scarry fast. I noticed it didnt have the fuel rail covers and was bummed about that and got 400 off from the dealer. Well i baught a thousand worth of Atomic Orange engine bay parts and they finally arrived the other day. The georgious fuel rail covers dont fit because i have a Professional Products intake Manifold called Typhoon and fuel rail kit. The fuel lines are radically different - im going to have to get the dremmel tool out on those FRC's and im just sick about it. The bigger throttle body and the Vortex Ram Air and the exhaust if you believe all the claims add about 120 hp. Well the Vette is got all the power i can use but the engine bay is UGLY and im bummed out.

Congrats on the new vette. You can change out the shift **** and there are several threads on it. Unfortunately, I don't have the links. You can also buy an adapter which is less invasive but **** sits higher.

Have fun with all the mods.

Congrats on your new purchase,

The thing you might find on this forum... there are some owners that think the C6 should not be driven in rain or snow, if you wash it it takes 3 buckets ( dont ask me why ), you need to correct the paint every month, change the oil every 3 months, all fluids every year, new battery every 3 years, new air in the tires every 4 months, zaino when needed, micro fiber towels only, and dont drive it -- cuz low mileage Vettes increase in value for the next guyl - dont believe any of this crap - drive the hell out of it and abuse it... it can take it.

You really can't put "reasonable price" and "Corvette" in the same sentence, it just doesn't work out that way. I would start with a good set of long tube headers and a tune and go from there.

Good advise here. I would add a new filter kit and do the cold air mod to the air box. Headers, tune, and intake were one of my first mods right after Corsa Sport exhaust.

Welcome to the Corvette lifestyle, enjoy your new car.

But without pics it did not happen.

Hope you enjoy the new Vette. I just got my first one 4 weeks ago, so I know the joy and excitement you're experiencing. I put a SLP Powerflo exhaust system on mine, as I wanted a "civilized rumble" at a modest price. The Loudmouth systems were just too darn noisy for my taste.

The LS2 is more limited in the intake department than the exhaust department. Best bang of buck HP mods are... Ported or aftermarket intake and throttle body, CAI and then a good tune. I picked up 32 RWHP from these mods alone.

Surprised nobody mentioned the '05 rear end...someone always brings that up when performance increases are discussed.
