How to get better MPG in the C6? What is your average MPG?

Returning to the OP's question, here's how to get better gas mileage:
-- Do not accelerate quickly
-- Do not drive above 70 MPH
-- Cruise at a steady speed in the 40-55MPH range, without stopping or speeding up
-- Use cruise control whenever it is safe to do so.
-- In general, drive it as if you were down to your last nickel, last quarter-tank of gas, and are almost home for the holidays, i.e., like a 1967 VW Bus missing on one cylinder.
These, of course, are all things I rarely, if ever, do. It's a Corvette. More fun = less mileage. Therefore, I:
-- Accelerate quickly whenever possible. (It's almost always possible.)
-- Try to keep it under 100 in heavy traffic.
-- Accelerate from time to time while cruising just for heck of it.
-- Use cruise control only when I'm wanting to concentrate more on music, what's on the radio, the view or a conversation with my passenger, or if it's a long road trip.
-- Drive it as if I may never get to drive it again, as if there's always another gas station not far off, and as if I can always afford another full tank of premium.

One thing that will NOT increase your MPG: Ripping the LS motor out and replacing it with a 2017 Toyota Tacoma 4-cylinder engine -- it will get about 2 MPG less than it is getting now.

To be honest, I have no idea what my display shows for gas mileage. I've never checked nor have I ever reset it since I've owned it.

Ha, to be fair, I used to regularly get 28mpg in my Eclipse GSX when I ran pump gas and it made over 500 hp on E85 just by turning up the boost. But I'm also looking forward to not having to do anything but put gas in my Vette and get that kind of mileage. I'll be plenty happy if I just have a couple of small power upgrades these days.

I'm actually more proud of getting bad gas mileage with my vette. It means I'm driving it correctly.

I don't know if this is a real post, or a troll....
17+ what? 18 what? In the city, in a small town, on the freeway, racing at the drags, what trans, what year, what is your driving style, what kind of gas, and WHY DO YOU WANT TO KNOW??? WHAT IS YOUR OBJECTIVE?
You gotta give us some help here if you want really good answers...

i've been leaving my info display to show MPG, and im usually hitting around 17.2 MPG. i noticed in the wintertime in CA, i would get 18+ Driving most city sometimes highway. There used to be so many infomercials back in the day for a product called zmaxx. But I never see them anymore maybe it was a gimmick
I run stp fuel injector cleaning every oil change

I a fairly new to a C6, I have only had mine for a few months a M6 GS. I remember reading people getting in the 30s. I average 13-14.9 mpg, I'm still hoping to hit that 15 mpg mark. The sound of the exhaust is too good to short shift it.

I have 2010 c6a6 base with 103k, vararam cold air is only aftermarket. With 91+ and ac on I can average 30-32 runnin 80. My average with moderately heavy foot, interstate and city about 25.5. I can't complain one bit! 😁

How to get better fuel mileage in a C6?
Inflate tires to 32psi cold, instead of 30.
What is my average MPG?
Don't know, don't care. Too busy listening to the chorus that is a 7k redline.

I have a GS and on the highway I get 25-26
around town I'll get 20-23
on a race track I get 12-14
But the sound and power of the vettes it is hard to drive it where you can get decent gas mileage. Because you're always on the throttle listening to it. 😀👍
