Wow! I was expecting another thread of someone parking too close to a Corvette. That sucks! Any surveillance cameras near by?

Wow, sorry to see this!looks like someone threw something, or a rock hit it. The blue circled item looks like a ( water absorber ) detailing cloth.

not sure if somebody threw something or it just imploded.. Of course the dealership I was in didn't have security camera's...Yes, that is a sticker for my corvette club (Corvette Society) and the blue thing is just my Absorber towel if I get stuck in the rain.. I had a fly window for my 65 coupe in my home office just shatter like that.. My thought tho is someone threw something at it.. Dicks.... Called Hagerty and I'm waiting to hear back.. Been a few hours, I hope they move their asses on this.. Thanks for the comments..

So sorry to see that.
If someone threw something to break the back glass I would think that you would find it near the car or in it.

If someone threw something you should be able to find it. Now if they used a bat or something.......
Have heard of glass shattering in the heat, not common bit has happened before.
Good luck.

Were your windows rolled up and how hot was it? Could have been heat related.
It would take someone very brazen to bust it out in a dealers parking lot.

I've heard of it, too, but imo very uncommon. I'd expect to see that more in the desert SW but even then, I don't hear of it much.

Joe,
That really does "suck" out loud!
How hot was it outside/inside the car. The only way heat should make a window implode is if it had a chip or crack on it. Excessive heat could expand the chip/crack and potentially shatter the window.
It is possible something hit the very hot window, and it shattered.
If heat was the sole source of an implosion, there wouldn't be a window left in the cars in Phoenix in the summer months.

thanks paul.. I don't think it was heat.. Maybe stress or some A$$hole threw something at it.. I know they don't crack easy even when hitting with a hammer, so if they threw something it was a effin perfect shot.... Nothing around or in the car..... No damage to car other than the window.. I wonder how they put the new on in.. doesn't look easy to me...
