Default locking in park

my 2008 c6 locks in park intermittently dealers never find anyhting wrong ,,getting scared to drive it ideas ?

You can take radio bezel out and cut the paw I believe. Dealer would replace entire assembly.

Push the shifter forward first, then step on the brake, it will unlock.

There are several threads and videos on how to tie back the cam lock on the shifter which is a permanent fix for the problem. There is an actuator in the shifter mechanism the goes bad. You can replace the actuator, which is a PITA or just tie the cam lock in the shifter back to bypass the actuator
