It would sure be a shame to lose your amazing contribution to the Corvette world some day.
Gee, thanks, not sure we deserve that compliment, we are just doing what we love. Along the journey we find lots of obstacles, but we've learnt there is always a solution to any challenge you encounter. I guess it helps when you are stubborn, passionate, and never, ever give up.

It's also a little easier when you are retired and have the time and resources to make your dream come true. Having said that, energy levels are not what they once were, so it takes us quite a bit longer to get things done these days.
Yes, it would be great to have an enthusiastic young person on our team, and whilst many are keen on what we do, I don't see their interest in doing anything themselves. From what I see with many young folk today want to earn a squillon dollars and buy stuff, they are not interested in building anything.
Thanks, appreciate the kind words. We'll keep plugging away best we can.
There is 5 of us on this team, all building a C36 each. Youngest is 62, oldest is 72, we have a great time, and every day we wake up and keep building our dream is a bonus.

Pic showing metal fabrication of the frontal area.

Obviously, due to the many mods, everything had to be modified or remade.
Internal front bumper support, remade.
Front bumper, cut and shut to suit new front.
Grille surrounds, std length, but 2" higher.
Bumperettes, 2" longer.
All grilles, custom made from flat aluminium bar.
Real happy with overall look and result

Love the 'outside the box' thinking.

Thanks, lots of gaps in between thou. Building this in real time right now, and things tend to happen in fits and starts, plus life gets in the way.
As long as there is interest there, we will keep posting

Confusing I guess. This is the mockup of the hood sub structure. I utilised part of the C6 inner hood frame to use the factory rear lock mechanism. The raised sections at the front pick up the hood hinges to operate the tilt front. Bit of a 'mission' this but think will work fine. Made the front part from foam, glassed over the top, and shaped to suit. Using a lot of plastic filler in the mockup process
Hey Guys, been a while, got a couple update pics for you to peruse

Didn't go exactly to original plan. Was keen to run C3 LED tail lights, but looked like "peep holes in the snow", just too darn small. Given the 9.5" she has been widened, not surprising however. We think C6 lights look fabulous. Was going to install the 'corvette' script in the rear, but decided to run the C6 emblem between the lights. Cut down and modded original C3 bumpers we think look fine. Have made to sit real close to the body:- seems to be a trend these days.

I believe that you made the best decision with the tail lights, they look “right “.

Thanks, yes I believe it's the right decision also:- soon as I fitted them, we all stood back and said WOW!!
I live by the notion that everything we do must 'knock our socks off'. If we have to over analyse any feature we build, or try and find a reason to like it, we have clearly stuffed up, and need to go back to the drawing board.so far, been very happy with all aspects of this build, thou it is proving to be a bigger build than I imagined. You'd think I'd learn after 6.5 years and over 8,000 hours with my last build 'Prodigy '
