Very nice. I had a couple of Z32s. My last was a 93 black on black twin turbo, manual transmission and I loved that car. I sold it over a decade ago, but I had it for 7 years, longer than any of my other cars to date. I kept all of my aftermarket parts as I swore I'd have another some day. They are hard to find in good shape these days. It looks like you found a nice one. The newer Z cars never did it for me. The styling, quality and mod potential went way down hill after the Z32.

With an intake, exhaust, ECU flash + boost controller it will be like a whole new car and you won't notice the weight at all.

Check out twinturbo.net if you haven't already. It's a great forum that's been around since the 90s. Many of the original members are still there.

Funny how times and wants change. There are 2 cars that I've always wanted, a 60's E type Jaguar and a Studebaker Avanti. I was a teen when I first saw an Avanti and it was love at first sight that never went away. Same response to the first E type that I saw. Since the Corvette came along I'm satisfied.

I've had three Porsches and may have another one day. The three I had were all great cars (06 987.1 Boxster S, 08 997.1 C2S cabriolet and 12' 987.2 Boxster S. I preferred driving the Boxsters over the 911 for the mid engine weight balance but they all had great steering feel. If I every got another P-car, I'd really like a 981 GTS, but I'd likely settle for a 997.2 S or 997 turbo just to get a back seat for my son.

If you every do get that Cayman go with 09 up for the 9A1 engine. They're harder to find, but a bit faster and way more reliable. Add intake, exhaust, high flow cats, plenum, throttle body and tune and call it a day. The 9A1 engines are very reliable since no IMS to worry about and the engine feels very smooth with fewer moving parts and very responsive thanks to direct injection.

Nash Healey
Maybe a J-2 Allard.
Crosley Hot Shot?

Or the car that is the reason that the Corvette still exists- 55 T-bird.

After researching the Cayman a bit, that's exactly what I was thinking too.

I've always had a crush on the 911( like I have the Corvette), but I think the Cayman (or Boxster) is just a much better sports car even if it doesn't have the history and cache.

People like to diss the Boxster Cayman as the car you get when you can't afford a 911, but I was actually somewhat disappointed when I went from the Boxster to the 911. The 911 was nice, but the handling wasn't nearly as good as a mid engine car since behind the rear axle is the 2nd worse place to put an engine. I ended up with another Boxster and was very happy with it. The major benefit of the 911 in my opinion is the back seat, but its only useful for dogs or small children.

The Boxster Cayman reputation is improving though. The last time I was at my local Porsche dealer, a guy just traded in his 2016 911 GT3RS and his Ferrari 458 Spider. He left with a Cayman GT4, a huge grin and a pile of cash.

I'm intrigued by the possibility of a mid-engined Corvette, but I really hope it is still offered with a manual transmission.

Always been a Mopar fan. Traded the C5 for this SRT/Design. Smaller Hemi but most of the other features of the SRT. Great ride, handling, and gas mileage.

So probably trade the C6 for this.

Chrysler 300/S AWD

And keep the Durango for hauling Stuff

Jag F type with the V8 of course. Or Aston Martin if I could afford either.

Interesting cross-shop given the torque limited nature of the S2K.

Don't get me wrong, I had an AP2 S2K for ~5 years. It was a fun reliable nice handing car, but seriously lacking in torque and power. I'm pretty sure I was regularly out accelerated by soccer moms in mini-vans at most traffic lights.

If S2Ks weren't appreciating so fast, I always thought it would fun to have another with the V8 swap that is becoming more common these days.

2015 Dodge Challenger SRT or a late 70's Trans Am with an LS engine out of a 2002 Trans Am.
