Coupe v Vert for exhaust drone
Anybody have an opinion or actual experience as far as a comparison of aftermarket exhaust drone in a coupe v vert? I have an 06 vert and am considering an exhaust, but I don't want to limit my options if I don't have too. Thanks for any insight.

Either use an NPP or a Corsa System and drone won't be a problem. I'm sure there are others out there that don't drone.

I have direct experience. LS2 and LS3 with Bullets in a Vert, and LS7 with Bullets in a FRC.
Even though the LS7 is not as loud, the in-cabin noise/drone is much higher in the coupe. There's a really big sound box behind the seats called the cargo area, and it amplifies both the exhaust noise and road/tire noise. With the Vert, much less of those noises can get into the cabin. They get stuck in the trunk.

Just have stock on my 06 Vert but put the Corsa Axel back on my C5 Vert. It was the Indy Pace Car mufflers which I think would be the extreme now. Great at idle, Great at cruising(no drone). But loud at WOT. Loved them and found a new set for the C5 at $600 online, had a muffler shop put them on for around $100 a few years back. My stock A6 runs about 1600/1700 rpm at 75 so you don't want any drone in that range. JMO and my ears. Haven't had a coupe.

Why not do a retro? I swapped to NPP from the Billy Boat PRT that was on my car when I bought it. I added the NPP-in-a-box kit and now have loud exhaust when I want it and stock quiet for long highway trips. Best of both worlds. Kit install was simple; I hung the remote from the rear view mirror from a caribiner so it's readily accessible, and I can remove it and toss it in the console when I want. It cost me a couple hundred out of pocket because I sold the PRT to defray some of the costs.

It's a sympathetic vibration/noise at certain RPMs under certain load conditions. You can mitigate it by deceleration, acceleration, or changing gear. Or you can do nothing, and get really annoyed by it.
It is very subjective, however. Some are very sensitive to it, some are bothered very little or not at all.
