Default Engine compartment dress up

I'm looking for some ideas to dress up the engine compartment. How about sharing some pics to give ideas. I particularly like braided lines so I would like some thoughts and experiences with those.

Thanks

You mention braided lines. I have done a full conversion to steel braided Aeroquip lines and I can tell you first hand it is not a job for the faint of heart and if you are prone to bleeding a lot. The steel braid is difficult to cut and work with even if you have experience and have the tools to build the hoses. I believe RPI (Forum Vendor) has the top and bottom hoses in the steel braid but that is all. All the other lines and fittings must be custom built by you, they cannot be purchased. Cost, parts alone is about $1000 which includes no outside labor. There are better places to apply your budget.

Here's mine. It's still not done, but you can get a good idea of where I'm going.

I have the screw on type chrome caps.

I'm going to hydro-carbon radiator shroud, coolant reservoir, cai, fuse box cover and windshield cowl.

I am getting a polished throttle body and alternator.

Debating painting the coil packs or purchasing the stainless covers.

I'm not too fond of the basic rubber hoses and was planning on doing the blue silicone kit but wanted to change some of the other hoses and was thinking about the braided lines with blue ends.

choppychop, I like what you did ! Can you tell me a bit about what you added or took away and from where you purchased? Looks like you have aftermarket coil's and pulled the plastic covers ?

The silicon hoses is the way to go. The only braided hoses I have (which you really can't see) are going to my catch can. Everything else is covered.

Remove valve covers, fuel rails, plastic fuel rail covers, remove and paint coils with caliper paint (or not...),remove insulated intake cover, install coil relocate wiring (hide hideous plugs between engine and firewall), install holleyfuel rails, install holley valve covers, install coils, wrap relocate wires with braided loom bought on EBay (The zip ties can be removed after putting some miles on, The braided loom will maintain its shape).
BBK throttle body and CAI, Hinson spark plug wires and boots, LG long tube ceramic coated headers, Elite catch can, ceramic coated handle of oil dipstick.
I'm not a fan of fancy painted covers, hoods and chrome crap...
No offense meant to others, thats just me...

I install these when I enter car shows. They can be on the car full time but I remove them between shows (takes about 10 minutes). I just installed the vented fuel rail covers and painted the ignition coils Victory Red.

I do have the Holley covers but the short type. I have an e-force on the car so the tall would not fit. I did have them powder coated cast iron crinkle black (as well as the alternator bracket) to somewhat match the supercharger cover.

I also have the Hinson blue plug wire boot as well as ARP stainless bolts for the coil packs and throttle body.
