Changed my emblems to CE 100 Year
I decided to change out the front and rear emblems on my 2012 Grand Sport.
I previously had an overlay on the right side of the emblem, but it started to peel. I couldn't get ahold of the guy on here that made them, so I went with the CE 100 year emblems. I have this whole black/white theme going. I think it looks good.
Here are some photos of the transformation.

Well, GM really screwed up when they declared that the 100th Centennial Anniversary of Chevrolet would year model 2012.
Since Chevrolet became a car company in 1911, the centennial should have been year model 2011.
And to protest my argument, I have installed a 2012 Centennial Edition Corvette wheel center cap on the steering wheel of my 2011 GS.
Yup, that's the [only] thing as far as the Centennial Edition Corvette that I have added to my 2011 ... but it's my little protest to Chevrolet ... a company that obviously can't add numbers correctly.

IN FACT > > >
On November 3, 1911, Swiss race car driver and automotive engineer Louis Chevrolet co-founded the Chevrolet Motor Company in Detroit with William C. Durant and investment partners William Little, James H. Whiting and Dr. Edwin R. Campbell.
Actual design work for the first Chevy, the costly Series C Classic Six, was drawn up by Etienne Planche, following instructions from Louis. The first C prototype was ready months before Chevrolet was actually incorporated. However the first actual production wasn't until the 1913 model ... So in essence there were no 1911 or 1912 production models ... Then in the fall of 1912, the new 1913 model was introduced at the New York auto show (for sale to the general public).

100th anniversary
As part of Chevrolet's 100th anniversary in 2011, a dedicated channel was created by the American internet based Pandora Radio station, playing the Top 100 songs mentioning the brand. Beginning on November 3, 2011, Chevrolet celebrated the countdown to its 100th birthday by encouraging its customers and fans to tell their Chevy stories, vote for their favorite Chevrolet cars and trucks, and take the birthday party to their communities with the help of Chevrolet and its dealers. A feature-length documentary titled 'Chevy100, An American Story', produced by Roger Sherman, was premiered on November 3 at Detroit Institute of Arts in downtown Detroit, features drivers, collectors, restorers, racers and journalists who live and breathe cars and trucks. In honor of the 100th birthday of Chevrolet, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Chevrolet and Indianapolis businessman David Ring have arranged to properly mark the grave of Arthur Chevrolet, brother of Chevrolet co-founder Louis Chevrolet.

You have to give the wheel centercap a real hard twist with you hands, and it will separate into two pieces. Discard the large piece your not going to use.
I may have needed to grind just a little off the back of the new center cap with a dremel tool in order to make it set flat over the original steering wheel centercap, but I'm not sure (it's been 5 years since I did this).
Then just apply some silicone sealant (RTV) to the face of your original steering wheel centercap and lay your new Centennial centercap over it.
Hold it down with some tape untill the silicone sealant cures overnight.

I have tried to glue my emblem over the hole and it has set for over 24 hours. Both wing tips do not stay all the way against the car and that's
a problem. Unfortunately the original emblem (with pins) broke in two when removing so an overlay is not possible,
I am thinking more glue on the emblem tips.
What's the answer. Thanks for your assistance.

So I am assuming you just reused the original emblems (with pins), with the new overlay? Did you put new glue or an aftermarket glue.

I removed my original emblems and removed all of the glue/double sided tape. When I bought the CE edition emblems they came w/ the double sided tape already on them. I placed them in the hole and aligned them (basically aligns itself) and peeled back the tape.
