Default Dang that hurts

Well got the total from my speed shop on my Grand Sport, motors coming out needs lifters springs rods new cam timing chain new seals flush the motor using a btr stage 2 cam would love a stage 3 but no headers so a 2 is better, along with a tune going to cost 4500 that really hurts

I just had to spend $8800 on a crate motor form my Grand Sport because it blew up at 34,000 miles.

Ouch. I'm pleased with my BTR stage 2. I think you'll like it.

I have to ask ...

How did you blow up a LS3 at 34,000 miles? Both of our grandsports are well past that and we have had ZERO motor issues.

Ours are all stock though ...

Was that just for the motor? No labor involved? If so, that Crate LS3 really got expensive in the last 5 years. I bought one in '12 for 5,600.

I have a few questions. How much did your car put down (LS2 or LS3) and what type of dyno? Do you wish you would have went with a BTR stage 3? An do you you have any surge or bucking with the cam? Thanks in advance
