C6 Z06 Price Trend - 10 Years Out - An investment?
Is there a consensus opinion on the value of C6 Z06's going out 10 years or so?
Here's why I ask, for the same money I can buy a nice unmodified garage queen Z06, I can buy a very low mileage garage queen BMW Z4M. I'm comfortable that the BMW's value will increase quite substantially over the next 10 years or so. It's already happening with M cars from the late 80's and 90's and the early 2000's models are starting to creep up as well. I would think that any manual transmission normally aspirated car would have a certain degree of value going forward I'm just trying to figure out which is the best (enjoyable) investment. Btw, my plan is to enjoy it, not just put it in moth ***** and wait. The Z06 is much more popular, but there's also a much larger supply than the BMW.
Would be very interested in y'all's thoughts.

Cars are a crummy investment.

I strongly recommend researching what people are BUYING them for. Not what people are selling them for.
I could list my 2012 GS for $150k. Does that mean a 2012 GS is a good investment?

Really?!?!?! I'm not crazy, you're uninformed, I'm not talking about POS beaters.

My question is will Z06's benefit from the reasons given in the video as well.

Yup..... Unless your playing in the Pebble Beach concourse type collector car market, and possibly some vintage muscle cars all other cars should be considered a "Hobby" not an investment....
If anything cars are a negative investment where you are investing more in them then they will be worth 10, 20 or even 50 years from now.
I have multiple classic mustangs which are not investments, they are just a fun hobby that sucks cash from my pocket, but it's an addiction and one I'm willing to do.

Investment? Hardly.
On the other hand, if the Z's keep blowing engines, the survivors may at least hold their value against inflation.

Look at those hot rod shows on Discovery Channel and look at all the work they put into rebuilding those cars in order to sell them for $60-100K? Those cars are a lot older than a C6 Z06 and a lot nicer than a stock C6 Z06. If you want to buy the Z06 for an investment, you better plan on keeping it for another 30 years and maybe you'll make some money back on it.

Melting Slicks
I'm with everyone else, I just bought a one year old BMW435 with 4000 miles, I paid 41 for it, 65 new. I bought my ZO6 on 2013 for 45 with 4500 miles, it was 90 new. If you want a car that will keep its value by a Honda civic, seriously...
