Couldn't do it. Not with a vette or a 911 or a viper or any other cars I'll hope to own in that class. Just my opinion... if you can afford to own a corvette, you can afford to own a 2nd car for all the other stuff vette's weren't meant to do. My wrangler has a lot more miles than my vette by design.
Anyway, enjoy the pumpkins

I'll run a few light errands in mine too, but mostly I just enjoy it.

I hear ya, for me its not the price of the vehicle, it's why it was designed, how it was intended to be used, the driving experience, etc. Taking a corvette on a pumpkin run makes as much sense to me as pulling the top off a minivan and going for a relaxing drive
I'll run a few light errands in mine too, but mostly I just enjoy it.

Interesting responses. This car was bought explicitly as a daily driver for the lady—she had always wanted a daily driver Corvette and she was turning a number ending in zero:

Trust me, she enjoys it!

Nice, I love it. My GS is daily driven too! Ive taken spare tires to a friend who blew a tire, took all 4 tires for the GS to get mounted/balanced/installed to a shop...
When I had my S2000, I'd drop the top and throw lumber into it making it basically a pickup truck.
I tried a DD/fun car in the past. I ended up dailying the fun car and never driving the DD so I figured **** it! The corvette is NOT an investment, its a depreciating asset - might as well make the most use of it while its still in good working order.
Just take care of it, but use it as a tool!

Some keep it in a garage under a cover, and only take it out on Sundays .......did these folks really buy a corvette to resell??
News flash... everyday you own it is another day it goes down in value so why not drive it and enjoy ?
I drive mine every chance I can, putting pumpkins in the back or groceries has never hurt one and I just don't care about the odometer

I think the pumpkins look good back there. We hit the local apple orchards in the fall. We take the vette and fill it with apples, pies, etc. Monday morning on the way to work smells wonderful.

I guess I must be using mine wrong. I've put 13k miles on it in the year and a half I've owned it, and have used it for everything from 4000-mile trips, to grocery runs at WalMart, to driving to and from work. I'm the only person in my office who actually looks forward to the commute to/from work on the days I take my Vette.
