Very Rough Idle, Now it won't start.
2009 Base, Auto, 24k Miles.
Ran great sense we've had it, started and ran great yesterday.
Went to crank it today and it ran like it was on half the cylinders.
Giving it throttle would just misfire like crazy and it would run like dog dookie.
Now it won't start at all. It tries to fire off but won't completely start.
Any thoughts? Maybe fuel pump going out? The car doesn't get driven a lot.

Did the CEL come on? If so get a scanner to check the code. But before doing that I would remove the fuel rail covers and check for a loose plug wire at the coil and at the plug. Mine started idling VERY rough because the number seven cylinder plug wire was off at the coil.
No CEL, but let me try checking all the plugs and I'll get back to you.

How the hell does this happen and so frequently on Vettes. I'm older than dirt and I had one plug come loose many years ago and that was because I let Pep Boys install some plugs Don't ask
It just seems to happen way too often that there has to be a cause

Why would you go and say that? This new forum member MIGHT have been thinking I'm smart as hell. Now he knows it happens a lot (especially with Pep Boys involved)!!

Like NSF said, I can remember maybe one time when it happened to me when I was young, and it was probably because I bought some cheapo Noah's Ark plug wires for $1.99 a set or something.
