2007 Z51 LS2 Corvette vs 2008 Z51 LS3 Corvette

Let me guess, C7 guys are stupid because they "aren't that much faster" than LS3 C6 guys but spent thousands more right? Because the difference between a LS3 C6 and a C7 is only 19hp (455-436). I mean heck, that's less than the 36hp difference between the LS2 and LS3!
Show me a back to back dyno graph where the LS2 makes more power than the LS3 stock for stock. You are wrong and one has already been posted in this thread.
I just went on kbb.com and a 2007 C6, manual, with 30k on the clock in excellent shape is valued at $22,853. A 2008 with everything else the same is valued at $23,762. That's a $909 difference.
Not sure where you get $4-$5k. I just went on cars.com and looked at ones for sale, there was not a $4-$5k difference.
Have you measured your weiner recently? I feel like you have and you came back disappointed.

Where do you see it's only better by a car length? A car length over 60 feet? Over a 60-130mph run? A run to top speed? You make zero sense.

OP is so mad. hahaha! You know all the kids these days are clamoring for one of them sweet, sweet LS2s! (they have the compression everybody wants)
I'm sure when you explain to people that you troll CF, they'll overlook your regrettable model year choice... Or when you flash them that $5K cash you supposedly saved.
Hell, I'd take a stock LS3 over a supercharged LS2 car.
Michael, I'm sorry you spent 81 of your 85 posts trolling about LS3 vs ls2. You got the car thinking it make you popular to men and desirable to women. Neither of those happened so now you take out your aggression out on randos online. Take your automatic base model with the hideous ZHZ (truck) rims and **** off. Maybe find a better hobby.

The thread wasn't even asking about LS2s.

He's even bleeding his nonsense over into the C5Z forums - check out the last couple of posts in the thread: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-vs-ls3-2.html

Wait you are right. I am sure GM went to the ls3 because they wanted to make the 08+c6 vettes slower.
For 99% of the people out there an ls2 car will be way more than they need.
If you are buying a c6 vette because you want to fastest car then buy a zR1. Cant afford it? Buy an z06. Cant afford that? Buy an ls3 car. Cant afford that buy an ls2.
If you just want a nice c6 vette buy the nicest one you can find and say screw the motor.
TO each his own, but anyone that says the ls3 vs ls2 is not a reason to choose obviously does not care about power. Period.

Ahh man, here I was finally accepting the fact that the LS3 is a better engine than the LS2 until a GM personnel made the following comment: "I dyno tested LS engines when I worked for GM. Bottom line is you can beat the snot out of an LS2 for 72 hours, and it makes more HP, more TQ, less crankcase pressure and less blowby as the test proceeds. You can literally compare run data from 1 hour into test against data 2 hours into the test and see an improvement. Likewise between hour 72 and hour 71. Conversely, the LS3 would ****** a wristpin out of a piston ~23-25 hours into the same test. LS2 is far superior based on my direct experience testing both."
Man good thing I did not go sell my LS2 and get an LS3.

Congrats. The only way you can beat a LS3 (because you admitted it is faster) is if you race the person for 23-25 hours first.
Whats it like having to go on a rant to ANYONE every time you brag about your C6, the SLOWEST version of the C6 generation, in order to justify your purchase? Like, do you bring out a projector and start showing powerpoint slides?

Even if this were true I'd still say you're a dufas.

LS2 has a higher compression ratio (10:9:1) than the LS3 (10:7:1). LS2 is better in this regard...
Yuppers, and that's why the exhaust sounded so much better on my '05 than my '11...

What is not sketchy, however, is the real life driving experience of hundreds, if not thousands, of people on this forum, and others. I have yet to hear of an LS2 OR LS3 engine failure that did not have some root cause related to the operator.
I am sure people have spun bearings, or snapped rods, or other such failures. But if the failure appears to be so low that it is almost unheard of, what does it matter what some guy beating the crap out of engines for 72 hours determined?
