Default Ideas for a vanity plate

Hmmmmm.... what license plate to get.

I have a blue 2012 coupe, with various options including NPP...

so... I hope it's fast... F

It is definitely BLUE! B

And the coupe with that rear hatch, is kind of a hatchback.. H

The NPP adds 6 hp to the 430 hp rating, so it's 436 hp

so, how about Fast Blue Hatchback, 436 hp???!!!! Yeah, that's it!

FBH436

Thanks NCDOT!!!

Please be very careful with vanity plates - way more are completely stupid vs kind of cool. Personally I like plates which take a bit to figure out. Don't do stuff like "MY VETTE" and "LETS GO" or "VETTE MAN". Do something like "8OO81E5"

In my opinion most vanity plates are ordered by the "hey! look at me!" crowd and i'm unimpressed. If you're driving a corvette you don't need a vanity plate.

And at the core of the issue.... it's a vanity plate, think about it? Humans don't need more ego

Unless you were one you would not know it is a vanity plate but I do like mine.

I had to get help from Mr Google. Very cool! And, very obscure. I never heard of it.

I try to steer clear of things that can make my car more recognizable...like vanity plates and bumper stickers.

What's the point of having a plate that only .1 % of the population could ever figure out? The owner will be able to remember his plate ..... but virtually everyone else will be clueless. I like the clever ones that anyone can decipher if given a little thought. JMO.

PRNDL, you are correct. I was a 4N191 when I retired in 2004 after 24 yrs. The X is for the skill level. You start as a 1 and go up in odd numbers to 9. Specialties would have a letter behind the last 1 as well.

Jost6453. The plate is for the recognition of the field not the enjoyment or amusement of others. Yes, less than 1% of the population will recognize what it means but we the few are proud of it and it is a small token of recognition I can give to the field I served proudly for nearly half of my life.

A little about the 4N1X1. It is a comraderie of like souls, many of which I still stay in contact with. Over my career I probably came into contact with 200ish of like personnel. Many of them/us were deployed to the gulf once or twice. Some to Afghanistan. Some to Panama and others to the Balkans. Two of my friends were in Beirut when the barracks were attacked. 4 Surgical Specialists performed as surgeons and first assists in battle management treatment of victims that day. A Surgical Service Specialist performs in every aspect of the peri operative services theater in the Air Force. They can and will on any given day, work cleaning instruments, assembling trays, recover patients, assist anesthesia, pass instruments to surgeons and first assistants, work as first assistants, train residents in proper technique and save lives. When I left in 2004 there were 47 reporting to me most all of whom have retired from the Air Force now and all who stay in contact with me through social media or in person.

Sorry, I did not mean to hi-jack the thread.

Not to be a total party pooper, I did have a "clever" vanity plate on my 84 while stationed in NM. Most of the Fighter Jocks had Porshe 944s at the time. While no match for a 911, I could give an NA 944 a run for it's money. Sorry for the poor quality, it is a low res scan of a picture taken in 1989 and scanned in 1996. One of only a handful of pics I have of either of my first two vets.

This plate was on the car when I bought it and I liked it so I kept it.

The CV-70 is for the USS Carl Vinson. Of course the hull number is CVN-70, but Illinois only allows 4 characters on vanity Navy plates. Still trying to get CV-70 on the Grand Sportís Florida plates since Iíve moved.

Texas turned down my first idea for a vanity plate, 4D KILR, so I decided to be an azzhole. Oddly enough, everyone loves my plate, and I see people pointing it out to fellow passengers all the time. I get a ton of comments on it at car shows too. I guess it was just azzhole enough to be funny.
