Default Just bought Shop Manuel at Helms

Just ordered shop manual for 2013 vette (i have 60th 427 vert). Four books $255.00 shipped. I called a month ago and it was not available, so I checked yesterday, it’s in stock!! So if you want them get um now while they last!! 2005-2013 C6 most are available. Going to pull my heads soon so thought it would be good thing to have GM OEM MANUAL. I’m hoping it will be worth it. I will let you know in about 10 days what I think. Got a BendPak scissor lift to help me out. Good luck everyone!!

Good info is essential for the DIYer. You won't regret it.

The hundreds I have spent on shop manuals and Tech2 scan tool are a no-brainer since I save thousands on mechanic work while using them.

I've bought several Factory Service Manuals from Helm over the years.

Were the service letters available with yours?

I've usually declined the service letter "subscription" they used to offer, but would have bought them as a single purchase.

As in, all of the letters that applied up to the date of my purchasing of the manuals.

It's why I ask, as the letters themselves seem like they could be as valuable, at times, as the manuals themselves.

I look forward to hearing how you like yours, after you get them.

Yes, I think GM calls them "Service Information Letters," different manufacturers call them different things, when I worked on aircraft for a living they called them "Service Bulletins."

They can include better techniques, as well as things to keep an eye out for, some of that goes into manual updates, but not always.

Did the manuals come already bound together like a book or were they loose leaf? I just went to buy a set and they had a big red note that said they might come loose leaf.
