Default WindRestrictor

I know there have many posts about this product. I purchased mine for my 2012 Grand Sport at FunFest. Got a good deal. The sales folks were super helpful. I even sent an email yesterday with a question and got an answer during "off hours"!

I love how it looks and I installed it today relatively easily. Took it for a drive. It works great.
I was surprised by how much movement there is of the device due to the wind buffeting it. Any one else noticed this? Any concerns for the material cracking over the long term?

Installed one on my 2013 GS a couple of months ago and I agree, It looks and works great. Yes I have noticed some movement due to wind. These things appear to be very well built / heavy duty, so imo I don't think cracking should be a concern.

So it completely eliminates the tendency to blow off ones hat ? Never had that with my '99 Trans Am and do find it a bit annoying.

I have one for my 2012 GS and after the first use I lost the nuts to hold it one,I do a good job of hiding stuff from myself.

Mine wiggles a bit when driving with the top down, but I have logged about 25,000 highway miles with the top down since 2010, and no problems.

It depends on how tall you are. In my case it didn't since even with my seat all the way down and back the top of my head still touches the airflow coming over the top of the windshield so I either wear a tight fitting ball cap or a boonie hat with a chin strap.

What the wind restrictor does is reduce the wind buffeting around your head and shoulders and the annoying wind noise.

I had one put on my 2013 at Carlisle and it does have some shaking with the top down but haven't had any problems. It's just as solid as when they installed it. You can contact them directly and they will answer your questions. They are good folks.

I bought one for my GS at Bloomington Gold, months ago, and it is still sitting in the box after it was delivered. I need to install it this week.

I have one in my 13 GS and it has been in there for four years and 40,000 miles. It does shake a little but there are no stress cracks anywhere. The plexiglass is flexible enough to withstand it. I ordered it with the red LED's and wired it into the brakes.

When I ordered mine at Bloomington Gold and had a custom one made, they wired up my car for free. All I have to do is take it out of the box it was shipped in, stick it in the car, then plug into the connector they installed. I got a blue LED with a remote control to turn it on/off.

The brake light idea sounds pretty cool.

I wired mine to come on whenever the head/parking lights are on. + I added a quick disconnect/connect so I can unplug from car lights and plug into the 9v adapter so I can leave it on when parked during evening hours without worrying about draining my car battery. Probably won't use the 9v option much but every now and then during an evening car show, club meeting or what ever I can leave it on. And imo it looks pretty cool.

There are a couple of brands made to attach to the top of the windshield and they force the wind over at a higher level.
