Default Tail of the Dragon (U.S. 129)

Finally got a chance to drive the Vette up and down U.S. 129. What a fun stretch of road. Car handled like it was on rails! New Bilstein's on all 4 corners and new Johnny O'Connell front/rear sway bars made a hell of a difference.

U.M.

Glad you enjoyed the road. Nice pictures. It was the most fun I ever had in a car!

Nice pictures. Our club just got back from the " Dragon" . It was an awesome drive, seems like the Corvette was made for that road. Here's my car, I have a permanent grin on my face now.

I will be there in a couple weeks. The road looks smooth, is it that way all the way through? Any other fun roads in the area?

Road is in great shape! Try a drive across the Cherohala Skyway for another great drive. There are multiple road in and around U.S. 129 that are fun and/or scenic drives.

Done that 3 times. If you bring a drink, make sure the lid is on tight.

Looks like Killboy made a killing off you guys. TOD is a nice road but there are so many others with much lower LEO presence I tend to go elsewhere. Unfortunately the leaf peepers are out in full force clogging up all the good roads for the next month.

Road is great , no run off areas though. You got road and that's it , so be safe. Tons of good roads as the other guys have mentioned.

So..........when you go, which is the preferred direction to start the drive? as the map is laid out, clockwise or counterclockwise?

Doesn't really matter as far as I know. Guess it all depends on which direction you're approaching it from.

Great either way. Because we come from the SE we usually run it counter clockwise, turn around, run it clock wise, turn around, run it CCW and keep going on a loop or turn around and head home. It's like a Lays potato chip, nobody can stop at just one.
