Weight Load of Covertable
I've been asked to have a queen candidate and her escort ride in my vette for a college homecoming parade. Is there a weight limit for allowing them to sit on top of the car during the parade when they would be sitting on the area where the electric top is stored?

Don't know of GM weight limit but I have had a pretty healthy Marine and his wife sit on the tonneau on my '05. No damage.

I think that suggested total weight limit for the car is on the driver's side door jamb where the car build date is listed. My best recollection is that it's in the neighbor hood of 485 lbs.

I did this last year for high school home coming where I hauled the King & Queen. He was a linebacker, she was a cheerleader so probably 350 pounds total..... no issues at all.
Make sure to put a nice soft towel or blanket down for them to sit on and you should not have any issues.
It's a blast to do, so enjoy it.

We do it a couple of times a year for different parades. No issues. We put a towel on the seat and require them to remove their shoes and sit on a fleece blanket on the tonneau cover.
