2020 C6 of the Year Finalist - Modified

I had problems with the fit on my driver side skirt, I had to use a heat gun for the rear mud flap and the two forward screw holes skirt was way off but I relocated new holes in the skirt but I'm happy with the outcome. Good thing I'm a aircraft tech.that really helped, I did the right side in 20 mins. because everything lined up perfectly

Finally got around to getting one of the front splitters. Time to look back through the posts to see how to mount. BTW.. ebay has a 15% off coupon code: PSPRINGTIME.

Default Skirts

Just received my skirts today. They look good but I have a question for everyone. The pieces that attach to the fenders are just a flat piece of metal. From the pictures in this thread appear to be molded plastic. Is this true? Not digging the flat metal.

I guess it depends on who you sourced yours from. I bought mine through Amazon / Extreme Online Store and the rear-wheel or verticle piece is just made from molded ABS plastic.

After going back to the website it looks like the C6 skirts come with flat metal flaps. My fault so these will be going back on Monday.

now that's interesting, did you get yours from extremeonline NSF?

i did and my rear splash guards have two mounting holes where it attaches to the skirt, although one hole was in the completely wrong spot. i ended up adding another.

Mine came from WSA Auto on EBay but as I understand they are one in the same ??
My splash guards had no holes at all, and the front holes for the skirts were way off

I remember doing a review on WSA here on the forum about 2 months ago. They source their product from wherever they can get it, absolutely no consistency in what they sell. I purchased two sets of splitters and side skirts from them about 3 months apart from each other directly fro WSA. Holes were not in the same place, first splitter had holes predrilled and thicker abs. Second splitter was thinner abs and no predrilled holes. First set of side skirts were about a 1/4” short and no predrilled holes and had to paint because finish was very inconsistent, looked like it had the mange, second side skirt kit were better fitting 1/4” longer with predrilled holes and texture had more of a nice matte finish and didn’t need painting. It’s pot luck when you order from them, be warned.

Default This is what I received

I pulled them out of the tube today to take a picture and this what I have. The flat pieces are not metal as I first posted they are plastic. I was looking for the molded type not flat. Any thoughts?

I don't blame you Timothy, I don't like those either, send them back I guess. This is the reason I'm holding off on the rear spoiler.
Good luck

Typically the splash guards for the base are metal and wide bodies are molded ABS.

Yes they are going back when I receive the return label. Extreme Online Store did provide fast shipping and a nice product no problem there. Just not what I'm looking for.

Might check out C7 Carbon; that's where I picked mine from over 4 years ago. Excellent quality & fit; the skirts & rear splash guards are fiberglass. They may be a little more expensive; but as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for ... after several thousand miles, they still look like new

This could very well be the issue. Did you check to see if they are for Base or Wide Body?
