Wondering out loud, when I bought my new tires Discount has those flat lifts that come in contact with just the sides, middle of the car that raise it only about a foot or so, I'm wondering if the side skirts present any trouble there even with pucks

I did each side separately with two jacks and pucks at the front and rear. Both jacks cleared when sitting it down (although the bigger jack was darn close).

I have been looking at the front splitter, rear spoiler and the skirts. My question is, I know I need a splitter that is for a base model, the rear spoiler is the same for all models, but will the skirts fit a base?

I didn't explain it well enough, they use a "car lift" that is a platform, it looks like 2 pieces of plywood about 18" wide that comes in contact with the whole side edges of the car, about 5-6' long.
So I'm wondering if their "lift platform" will make contact with the skirts even with pucks ??
How far down do the skirts protrude from the bottom side of the car, further than the pucks ??
Thanks

I had mine at DT with those lifts and the skirts did not touch anything when they lifted it. The red circle here is where the puck goes.

Oh, and meadows, your car looks PERFECT!

Thank you!

NSF - when I had the pucks in they were down just below the side skirt. It's close but they are lower.

I have a set from RPI I need to install - just been too lazy. Guessing you needed to jack up and remove the rear wheels, eh? I've been waiting to obtain a cross bar for the floor jack, then place the stands. Would love to use the jack that came with my lift but my car is too low - first world problems....

Ok thanks for the tip, I just don't want to make it any more difficult to raise my car than it is now, ordering as we speak
Thanks
NSF

PS Before I order can you tell me where the screws go, are they under the rockers or on the sides. I don't want to drill holes where they will show if I ever remove the skirts

NSF - I was wrong. The side skirts are lower than my pucks. Also the holes go in pretty low. You would probably see them if you got on the ground to look. I think it would be noticeable but not too bad. To me though once they are drilled, no turning back!

Not to be a downer cause your car looks good with the skirts but again I gotta ask, what about SPEED BUMPS
We don't have them in our area much, well the parks do, and I try to avoid them anyway but with only 4" of clearance I don't think my car would clear them, does yours???

I haven’t had a problem. I try to take everything at an angle and so far (had the car since February) I’ve been ok! (Knock on wood)

My skirts definitely hang below jacking pucks. No problem on my lift at home, but the last time I went to Discount Tire they opted to use jacks instead of those platform type floor lifts they have.

My side skirts have never scraped and I do speed bumps daily and never hit the skirts. The only "challenge" on speed bumps is the front splitter.

Did you use 3M double sided tape or just used the self tapping or did both? Thanks

I didn’t use any tape, just the screws.

you will be fine Bobby! Although I have skirts on mine, they are not from that source, mine are fiberglass, and no issues at all even driving across the US from MI to SD earlier this summer............... also can take speed bumps without issue for the skirts, just an issue for the splitter as mentioned earlier.................

your car will look bad azz once completed......................

I just wish they would fit the base model. Advertising is bad because it says, For 05-13 Chevy Corvette C6 Z06 ZR1. That makes it sound like they fit all.
