Have any Pictures? I looked at RPI and Josh has good products, but at about 6 times the cost. My car is lowered all the way and the rear bushings cut, so I am a little concerned on just how long they will last. At $129 a pair I can take that chance, but I hate to spend almost $700 and have then destroyed.

For some reason when they are selling out they raise the price so they don't sell. They'll go back down to $120ish when they come back in stock.
Keep an eye here for base fitment.

It looks like the stores are sold out of the base model.

I would also vote for self tapping screws. I had good luck with them when I installed them. Make sure you show us pictures when you put them on!

That's the intended purpose right, hence the name self tapping.
I do know that when we drill a hole in fiberglass, as in boats, for a hole saw anyway, we run the drill in reverse to keep from chipping it out until it gets a groove started, then go into forward
Do you think its necessary to use the same method on these plastic cars

I did not drill pilot holes since the screws have a drill bit on them. I didn’t have any problems. I believe the size was 3/16” X 1”. I also used small washers just in case.

If you attempt to reverse to start the groove you run the risk of the screw running away from its intended point of contact.

I personally wouldn't reverse these to get a groove started. A self tapping screw isn't nearly as aggressive as a hole saw. Because the leading edge is beveled when the screw rotates in the clockwise direction it will create the necessary groove nearly immediately.
If you attempt to reverse to start the groove you run the risk of the screw running away from its intended point of contact.
