First damage to my GS
I've had my '13 GS coupe since July of '12 and tonight is the first time it has been damaged. Neighborhood kid riding his bicycle wearing a full face halloween mask ran into it while trying to scare someone else and hit rear fender, gas door, left mirror and front fender. Scratches and chips off of those places. The brats mother said they will cover the repair cost but based on other experiences I would bet against that happening. I got the police to write a report. I guess next step is see insurance in the morning and get an estimate. I need to be at the funeral of a very good friend at 11 so I'll get an early start. I know it could have been worse but this was so needless, just a case of stupidity.

I hear you Lynnie. You would hear the cursing at your place from my place if that ever happened to me...and parked no less. Hope it will be restored to it's previous beauty!!

Young kid. He threw his bike down in the road and ran home. Another neighbor kid went and told his mother and she dragged him back to apologize. I'm not good at guessing age.

Sorry to hear what happened, but good luck today with both the insurance company and the funeral of a friend.
Other's gave great advice about letting insurance company take care of it, then find a reputable shop and all should be good.

That sucks. Hope they get it straightened out for ya. Had some little **** ghost ride his bike into my camaro a few years ago. Went outside because the alarm was going off. They had all scattered by then. And lets just say these weren't the type of kids who's (lone) parent were going to make them take responsibility. If you know what I mean. Spider webbed the paint on the bumper cover. I always have a webcam running (motion detection) pointed at the driveway now.

Not a good end to the day. Agree with the above let the insurance handle it now and hope for the best.
Really hope that it is fixed to your satisfaction and this quickly becomes a distant memory.

When you talk to your insurance company, ask them for advice on filing a claim or subrogating against the neighbors/parents homeowners policy.

Sorry to hear about your car. I would be livid and can understand your frustration with the situation. Good luck with the repairs. Just find a good, reputable shop and it should be fine.

I'd be LIVID... F*** the "s*** hapeens" line. That joker should be nowhere near your driveway much less riding his bike into it. I'd have his Dad out there if he had one and i'd be very clear of his options.
