Default Back Surgeries. Just ordered the C6 Window Valet

Who else uses the C6 Window Valet? I just ordered mine from the CF Vendor, Southern Car Parts. Iíve had three back surgeries. The most recent was a double lumbar fusion in August of 2015. I used to back into our garage in my Base Coupe, but the Grand Sport is lower in the front and pulling in forward is much easier and rubs the splitter much less. I then have to exit with my door propped against the garage wall which I have padded for protection. Long story short, Iím sure the Window Valet makes entering and exiting easier. ( I already know getting in and out with the window down is much easier for me, but once Iím out I want the window up even though sheís in the garage) With the Windiw Valet I can put the windows back up once Iíve gotten out without reaching back in the car which is not an option for a bad back guy like myself. Iím guessing Iím surely not the only Vette owner using the Window Valet due to a back surgery or other similar condition? Iím curious who else has had success with this product? Thanks in advance to Southern Car Parts for the sale price. I look forward to a much easier entry/exit soon!

Joe

I've had one in my C5, 2015 Camaro and my C6. They work as advertised. No complaints here.

In summer I hit the lock button 3x to vent the windows when I leave it outside. They lower about 1/4".

I use it, bought it from the same company, love it, living in Florida, car get's hot, and while walking to the car window down hot air leaving the car to cool down faster.
What's even better, if you use your key fob, hit button twice, the windows crack themselves to get air circulation in the car.

Can anyone take a picture of how this fits in the OBD2 port? Somewhat from a distance. Curious how far it sticks out. Thanks!

I would say it's a nifty product, especially for manual owners.

Pros:

Lower windows from outside the car - vent the interior before you leave a meet

Raise windows from outside the car - after you're done putting the targa on, no need to power on to put windows back up

Vent feature - didn't really use this much

Parking brake unlock - instead of hitting unlock when dropping someone off, just put the handbrake up and it will unlock both doors, makes for a smoother exit

Cons:

Takes up OBD port so you can't use any Bluetooth scanner in unison

Also, I have one for sale for $80+shipping+paypal

Good luck with your back Joe, they're a MF'er, cut me 4 times and I'm thru, have to carry me in on a stretcher before they get me again
