What do you do to your vett when you get it home?
Do you wash it,, wipe it down with a duster, spray with detail and buff,
Nothing?
I’m interested because when I get mine home, it has road film on the rear end and would like to know what’s the best or most popular thing to do at that point.
Thanks,
G

Park it in the garage and wait till I wake up early in the morning to use spray wax to clean it up. Most of the year it is too friggin hot during the day.
Griots Garage spray wax works better than detail spray for me.

Wipe the body and wheels down before I cover it in the garage EVERY time I drive it. Yes.....I am sick!

I usually dust it right off before i drive it next.
Too much idle time here......
I like others am guilty of thinking about the Corvette more than driving it. Time to put some miles on it.

If I'm taking it out the next day then I will do no more. If not, then I will usually cover it using a cheapo plastic drop cloth, and pop the hood -- exposing the engine compartment to the light and my cats -- which discourages mice from playing in there.
When taking her out again, I will blow off that lovely derriere with an airhose, and maybe the wheels and lower body too if they're dusty.

EVERY OUTING
Open hood
let it cool down
Cal duster lightly (one only used for the Vette) over everything from lower rockers up
Another duster for everything below that
Another one for wheel wells
Lightly dress the tires and wipe off wheels
Vacuum floor mats
check oil
Next day usually wipe down with spray detailer
Then stand back and admire
No ****, I do

Being a mechanical engineer and knowing how heat and thermal cycles affects plastic, I always pop the hood open and let the heat out.

Melting Slicks
I do the same...the exception is if it's really dirty (from rain, dust or other storms) after a long road trip; then I will either wash & detail it the next morning or evening (normally to hot and the sun shines directly on my driveway during the day).

Yep. That's about it. I hosed it off a few weeks ago and cleaned the windows at the gas station. I'll run it through the car wash in about a month unless it rains before then. I've only been driving it about 10K a year lately anyway.
