Installing GRAND sport hash marks...fail
Well gave it my best shot installing hash marks.
just not good enough. Lol. First stripe went on pretty well and loved the way it looked. No air bubbles at all, thought i had this down. Now to the back stripe just couldnt get it lined up right, nothing seemed to be lining up and could not adust it to look right. After trying different things and finally putting a wringle in it, i had to rip them both off.
total fail...I guess there just some things I can't do.

Where did you get them? There was a thread here a few weeks ago about how badly cut those stipes were and could not be placed straight no matter what.

It’s amazing you got them at all!
Below is a thread discussing the cut and general feedback.

I was looking on the 'Vettestripes.com' website today

The GS fender stripes that can be ordered with a different color border section (as shown in the photo below) consists of 2 separate vinyl pieces ... The large stripes go on first, then the thin border piece.
However, the factory OEM stripes also have the thin outer border in a different color, but it is just a single vinyl decal, which seems a much better design, and easier to apply since its just one vinyl decal.
I can't understand why Vettestripes needs to suppy these fender stripes as two separate vinyl decals (the main decal and the outer border decal)?
QUOTE: "These stripes will be a 2 step installation if you ordering 2 color stripes. You will need to install the main stripes first and then install the border stripes right next to the main stripes. The free flags will come in border colors".

C6 of Year Finalist (appearance mods) 2019
I bought mine from Cultrag and had a graphic shop install them. My car is a Grand Sport and it didn't have them.

The original owner of my car had put on some cheap after market red hash marks. The grey border on them was turning brown and I didn't care for the red. I bought the GM ones in grey and had the red ones removed and new ones installed at a local shop for $100.

Notice that the OEM stripes don't go all the way across the top of the fender to the edge of the hood. They also don't cover that 1" flat lip on the edge of the wheel well opening.

Thanks, I should clarify that I didn't care for the red hash marks on my SSB car. The red ones do look good on some other color cars.

They also have the small C6 emblem on them. The negative is they go for better than $300. But I didn't like the after market ones turning a brown color.

I don't know when he put them on but my car was 5 years old and I have a copy of the build sheet so I know it didn't come with stripes. So it took these less than that. I think they were the really cheap ones. The "Vettestripes" may be fine. Hell the OEM ones may even turn brown one day? I hope not for a long time though.

Mine have since been ceramic coated too. So they should last longer.
