Your correct !!! Pic of the supposed water line attached. The pics make it look worst than it is. Inside pics makes it look like mold & mildew set in, wrong. Inside it's sandy dirt from leaving the window down. No keys but I am about 99% sure after I get a set cut and program the fob I am done besides cleaning. Underneath is dam near showroom condition.

No sign of water in the cavity below passengers floor mat?

Why was is written off as flood damage?
Does not make sense.

Can't tell on water sign either side, passengers window was down 3/4". I am sure some water made it inside during the flood, I would have to say the volume of flooded vehicles had something to do with the write off.
Oh and for the post about washing title, didn't do on the ram 2500. Would be kinda dumb to post a flood salvage and try that.

Wasn't talking about you in particular and washing the title, just in general. It happens every day, regardless of what other people think.

It sure looks in a lot harder shape inside than a car that was flooded to the rockers. If the condition of the seats is an indication of the actual exposure, the electricals will all be screwed up. These cars are enough of an electrical nightmare without the help of flooding. I notice you aren't answering the frequently asked "how much did you pay for it?" question. Good luck.

Update...had to move stuff around to make room for a third car. I do not have any keys or fob's so will it run who knows. May have to wait till all the paperwork is in before a dealer will cut a key for me. So that leaves me time to check things out. Tomorrow I will start on cleaning the inside before I get to the BCM. I will not answer direct reply's of being flooded to the moon, where I find damage I will post. I can say for sure it was not, it somewheres between the bottom of the seat to the floor. A F/V you don't just put a battery and try to crank. This is not my first rodeo, The truck I had between 7k-7.5k to repair it right including the price of the truck $3,400, dealer cost on parts. I will treat this the same way with a update to follow tomorrow. Forgot to add I spent some time talking with another member who ran the vin, 1 owner Servie at dealership once a year for maintenance service. Last reported miles on 02/01/2017 .... 2,363

Your right, it's dust and the pics they take at the yards are not good quality. Time to relax....later

I used to think this too, but I have a flood totaled car from Hurricane Sandy with a clean title.

I would just worry about all the electronics that could fail later on. If you have done this before I am sure you know that water damaged electronics do not always show up right away.

I'm somewhat curious about the prices that the flood cars go for. Is there a direct relationship to the previous value and is there a value modification based on the assumed depth it was submerged? Are they all auctioned or can they be bought directly from insurance companies?
I'd do a google search, but don't want the tons of ads and emails that assume I'm a ready and willing buyer.

Auction salvage is what the highest bidder is willing to pay and providing the seller approves it has a reserve. I know a few asked so here is was I paid, winning bid was 10,600 before copart fees. Time to start and check out the inside of my flooded to the roof buy. Will post a bit later on what I find.

BCM cavity clean and dry. Not sure if it will show up on pics, Fuses located near bottom do show slight signs of white corrosion dust . I will pull it out later for a better look.
