The first Buick was given to me by my dad. The second Buick was forced on me by the same dad, but it was built at a local speed shop with an overbore, stroke, cam, solid lifters, aluminum flywheel, GMC truck clutch, 3 speed manual transmission and 4.45 gears. He understood none of that and just knew that he liked Buicks. It turned out to be my auto shop course and made me a car guy for life. The explosion of Ford Motor Company cars between '77 and '81 were executive lease cars from
FoMoCo. The four GMC Safaris were all company cars for our small business but also served as our DDs. The only ones I still have are the two '69 Mustangs, the '09 Corvette and the '95 Bronco.
