my first car
a 1965 galaxy 500 blue paid 50$ in 1975 my mom got it from a friend . Wish i had it now,It ran no heat engine lock about a year later. Car 2 1963 Fury 3 …Car 3 1975 Monte Carl with swivel bucket seats.Car 4 my first new car was a 1983 Toyota Cressida then i traded it in for Car 5 a 1987 Blazer Car 6 . Car 7 1991 Isuzu Amigo CAR 8 1996 Isuzu Rodeo Car 8 2003 monte Carlo and still driving it with 135,000 miles on it .Now Car 9 my favorite 2007 C6 Corvette 48,000 miles Car 10 Hopefully a new vet
It's fairly easy to spot the owner's ages by the age of the cars. It also seems that those with lots of cars are older guys who played more in earlier life. You can see a pattern here.

In my list you will see that I had a 53 Stude Coupe, flat head six with 3 on the tree, and if I remember correctly, it had overdrive too. Was quite a car. Ahead of it's time with the "hill holder" clutch. The only problem I had was, because it had the 6 volt electric system, the engine wouldn't always start. There were many times that I had to have someone push it so I could pop the clutch to start it in gear. Sometimes I would park it on a hill so I could coast down, then pop the clutch to start it. I didn't keep the car for too long, but kinda wish I had it today, along with many of the other cars I owned.

I believe the top of the line in 55-56 was a Bel-Air, Impala didn't come out til 57 or 58. And "big old wings"? Was it a '59?

I didn't understand your text, but the first two pictures are of a dimmer switch, and the last pik is of a pedal that actuated the starting circuit. I remember driving some old ('40s-era) vehicles with them.
