You won't notice anything on the car. If you're that worried, turn the AC off. These cars make enough power you don' even notice if the ac is on or not under acceleration.
That said, the AC is on a clutched pulley, so the drag is minimal when off, and I don' think it has its own belt, so you would be removing the entire accessory belt. Not a great idea.

on my LS2
I believe the only accessory is the AC Compressor
as the Water Pump, Crank, PS Pump, Alternator are on the main belt
Im really tempted to give this a try with a ride around the block but now am on fence as I dont wanna harm anything
thanks

Just to have some idea of how much difference it makes, I plan on making a couple passes as a baseline and then simply cutting it off before making a couple more passes. I'll replace the pulley and belt before it gets warm again.

As others have said ... Just turn the AC off
When off, the AC compessor clutch is not engaged, and all you are turning is the AC pulley which is 'freewheeling' from the compressor ... That takes no HP from engine (nothing you will ever notice)

Because the main belt has to come off first from above and the AC belt appears to only come off from the bottom, I haven't done it yet. Now that the next few months will rarely get above 80* and I need to replace the idler pulley, I plan on trying it until Spring.
