OMG . . . a nice day
57 degrees and sunny on a Saturday in Maryland today. After weeks of single digit temps with snow and ice we needed it.
Got my 13 GS, which had not moved in almost 3 months, out for over an hour !! Started right up, ran perfectly with its fresh oil, NPP open and Bose blasting. Saw two other C6 Z06's out also. Had just a great time.
Got home and took my wifes's BMW convertible, also parked in garage for months, out for 45 mins (top up) - ran great and really a nice car too.
Finished that and figured I'd keep going. So I took my Suzuki motorcycle out for a 1/2 hour. The bike ran flawlessly as well, but sure felt like my skills were a bit rusty. Was glad to get that one back home.
But all in all, a really nice way to spend an afternoon. I still sure love the look and drive of the C6.

Nice, glad you had a good drive my brother! We had 61 and sunny in El Paso Texas today. Not that unusual around here in the winter, but it was great to drive around.

And I thought Maryland was south from where I live in Massachusetts.

I drove around with the top down.
It's rare that an entire calendar month goes by without that being a possibility. There were still giant piles of snow in Lowes parking lot. (yes I went there in the green one).
If you have to live on the East Coast, Maryland is a good choice, but don't tell others about it.

We.ve had a couple of weekends around here with temps in the 60's. I have definitely had the GS out!

It rained hard here most of yesterday. My buddy and I went out for sushi and hot sake last night in my truck, so at least most of the salt got washed off.
Was beautiful today, bright sun and about 40º, and no, I didn't go Vetting.

The latest story: A few months ago I ran into a couple I know who used to run the local bar (he is 80, she's somewhat younger). They sold the bar a few years ago and retired to somewhere in Tennessee. But they told me they're moving back.
I've seen them since then and they've bought a house here and are back to stay. They said it is easier putting up with the winters here than it was putting up with the heat in the south.
And there are many other similar examples of people I know who've said the same thing.
Face it: You need man-sized ********* to endure northern winters. So if you tend to be limp-wristed, favor lavender-colored leisure suits, are a vegetarian, etc. etc., STAY IN THE SOUTH!

Contrary to what a lot of people on this forum think, not everyone likes living in the south.

Planning my move down south.
That said, It was relatively warm today but no vette for me. Still salt on the roads and blocked by a huge snow pile.

I tried to do that the weekend before last but the starter just went click and after 6 hours of charging the battery it just went click click click. Got a new battery and put it in Saturday. No blue skies but warm enough so drove over the closest mountain to try and get those 11 quarts of dry sump oil somewhere close to hot. Gave her a quick wash when we got home.
