Default C6 HUD Heads Up Display DIC Switch

Hi everyone, I am planning to remove my HUD switches and also the right hand side switches from the dashboard on my 2007 Coupe to replace the burnout lights that I have on several push button switches. I am planning to replace them with LED's. As I understand the existing lights needs to be de-soldered and resoldered the new ones, which in this case will be LED's. The question is when I soldered the LED's do I have to be concerned of where the polarity of the LED should be soldered ? Any info will be appreciated.
Thanks

I don't have a solid answer for you but I don't think it's an issue. Don't recall anyone mentioning it before.

Check this thread for some good info that may help:

Yes, unlike incandescent bulbs LED's are + and - specific and need to be installed accordingly. Here's a couple of pictures showing how you can determine the + and - sides of an LED.

I just did mine a few weeks ago.
I bought regular incandescent bulbs on Amazon 5.00 for a pack of 10 bulbs.

the original bulbs lasted 12 years..

I understand the LED portion of the + and -. I was wondering if anyone knew which was the positive side on the actual board itself. So I can soldered it the anode on the proper side. According to the several threads it does not show on the board.

Well, you should have said that in the first place. I can't help you there other than to suggest that once you get the board pulled out, with it still plugged into the connector, turn the lights on and check it with a multimeter.

Just plug it back in once you remove it from the casing and check ...

I went with the incandesant bulbs as I was afraid the led's would be to bright

I also replace a few burnt out bulbs with incandescent bulbs (7219), because I also found that the LED's were too bright.

Here is the schematic of the HUD and DIC Pods.
The Orange wire for the DIC and the Brown wire for the HUD lights are the positive side.
The Yellow wire for the DIC and the Black wire for the HUD is the negative.
