Default New to the C6 world

After racking up 140K on my C5, decided to upgrade. After months of looking finally found a 2013 base model. First impression the C6 is more "refined". The C5 has a more raw horsepower seat of the pants feel to it. It had the Z51 with 315 gears. Haven't checked the RPO codes on this one yet. Don't know what genius thought that would be a great place to put the sticker.

Just took delivery this afternoon, enjoy everything about it. Of course, its a Vette, what not to like.

Congrats! I also made upgrade from C5. You lost me that your C5 has more seat of pants power/feel unless you had different rearend gearing or mods vs stock C6.

Congrats and post some pictures

Likewise, made the switch from an 04 C5 Z06 to a 12 C6 GS... a world of change. But, do miss the kick in the *** of the modded Z06. Nonetheless it was certainly worth it to move up 8 years, chevy got it right. Congrats!

Save yourself some time and go to your nearest GM dealer and ask the service department to print the VIS and build sheet. They are free and will give you some info on your car.

And...post some pix...

Congratulations on your C6 purchase and welcome to a great forum. I went from a C5 to my C6 GS and the C6 is a much better car than to C5 I had in every way.

Congrats. Looks like you've been on the forum for a few years, don't be afraid to post.

While we are waiting on the pics, just mention the color, M6 or Auto, etc.

Do you plan on leaving it stock or modifying it?

Thanks for the welcome. Sorry,no pics yet. Too dark by the time I get off work.

For now, Red A6. Not planning on any mods except maybe some wheels/tires down the road. Currently has stock wheels and crappy but new firehawks all around.

2d owner, 28k on the clock, paid $28k for it.

Congrats, I also went from a C5 to a C6......huge improvement. My C5 was Electron Blue, still think it was a beautiful color. I'm a big fan of Crystal Red now though.
