Happiness is doing your own work...
Middle of Winter where I live near the Middle Finger of the Fingerlakes.
Decided today I’d start in on my headlight recall.
My parts guy is cool, so he just handed me the packet.
Took it apart, then got distracted by some buddies coming over, so it’s been shelved for a day or two.
If you have tools, use them. Undoubtably your own work may be best.

Once you get it done, might want to check with your parts guy to see if he can get the recall marked off as begin completed on the car with GM.
Hence should not be a problem, since once they do the work order to get paid by GM for not doing any work on the car itself, GM will mark off that the low head lights recall is completed on the car.

As for working on my own stuff, I am totally sick of it and done with it. I'm 67 and have been monkeying with "stuff" since I could pick up a wrench.
I've been working on cars, motorcycles, tractors, boats, chainsaws, lawnmowers, carpentry, masonry, water well systems, fixing my machine tools, fixing everything and I'm totally burned out on it. And I feel relieved by getting away from it. Screw it, gotta take time to smell the roses along the way.
Tomorrow I'm taking my truck to the dealer for its first oil change -- and this is the first time in my life that I won't be changing my own oil. It is about the only thing I still do, and if I didn't have a foot of snow here I would do it myself. Plus, there is a recall on my truck for possible diff oil leakage so they will be looking at that too.
Aside from that, life is good!

I like that 86' GSXR LTD. I bought my GSXR in February 86. First one my dealer had. Raced it in WERA for several years till I got a new one. Nice to see a clean stock appearing one left.
OH, nice garage too!
