HELP. Service Active Suspension /Traction Cntl Message
My first maintenance issue with my 2013 M6 GS which I bought in October.
Car ran fine on Saturday. Activated the active suspension mode for the first time that day, just to try it out.
Then went to take the car out yesterday, and received the "Service Active Suspension System" and "Service Traction Control System" messages on the dash. Along with a flashing CEL
I turned the car off and restarted, but the messages reappeared.
Should I disconnect the battery and reconnect it? Thinking it's like most electronic devices where a reboot solves many problems.
Or, do I need to take it into the stealer?
Also, I noticed it idled a bit rough, like it was on just 7 cylinders. But, that could have been just me.
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks,

EVRose has the right advice. Same thing happened to me a few months ago. One of the plug wires had popped off and another was almost off. Now I leave the plastic head covers off and check the plug wires every couple of weeks. The messages will reset after several starts.

Are these the covers that have the "LS3" on them?

If a loose wire is your problem then I would leave the covers off for a while just so you can check them. I personally like the look of the engine without the covers.
What I have read about the plug wires is that the boot on the wire at the coil can pop off because the air inside heats up and expands. I have no idea if that is true or not, but it seems like it would happen quite often.

Things start happening 'weird' as your battery approaches EOL. It will have the power to spin the starter but little things like 'Service active handling' will pop up from time to time. YMMV

I got home and snapped the covers off and there it was. One of the plug wires was dangling unconnected. Plug it in, started it up and it idled smoothly again.
Will the CEL and other warning lights go out after I drive a few miles?
Thanks again

If I remember right it seems like the messages disappeared almost right away. The CEL light took several starts before it reset and went away.
