I had a 2000 coupe. Loved it but it was totalled in April 2016 in a hail storm (car happened to be in the driveway when the storm arrived). My C6Z just arrived in an enclosed trailer one hour ago!

I sold the 69 a few months later because we weren't driving it and I didn't want it just sitting around. My 99 was a great car but I can't keep my a** out of the seat of my GS.

I would run through hell in a gasoline suit for that '69. Gorgeous!

Bought an 02 Z06 in 2001, and traded it in 2012 for a 2013 427. Never looked back. Don't like the C7's, (except the ZR1) so I'm happy with my decision.

Had a 2004 Torch Red C5. Sold it in 2010 when my wife got laid off. Did the Museum delivery on a 2013 CRM C6.

Had an 04, great car. Biggest difference is the headlights. Can finally see at night. 2d big difference was how clear the windshield is on my 13. Amazing how pitted the glass gets in 150k miles. My 04 was called the beast, quick and responsive. The 13 is faster but handles differently. Had the Z51 package on the 04 and continental's. Base suspension and GY runflats on the 13. Hopefully better tires and suspension upgrades will get the "feel" back in the handling.

Had a C5,4,3,2&1 before the C6. The improvements in creature comfort, handling & performance get better each generation. Enjoy the C6.

I've had a C4, C5, and now a C6.

My C5 was a 2004 Z06. I had it for 2 years and loved that car, but it was always a placeholder for me until I could buy a C6 (I now have a ZR1).

Sometimes I actually prefer the smooth lines of the C5 body, especially in hardtop form. But my C6 is better in every way. For starters, the LS9 is an absolute monster compared to the LS6, it's not even close. The interior is a slight upgrade from the C5, it honestly feels very similar. The sound system is slightly better, not a huge improvement, but the main difference is the addition of Bluetooth and navigation. Even though the nav system is very dated at this point, it's nice to have a map to look at while I am cruising unfamiliar back roads.

Fit and finish is better in the C6 and there are fewer rattles. My C5 was pretty squeaky at 11+ years old when I owned it and it's not the case with the C6 (yet).

I don't drive my C6 very often but it did seem like the C5 turned more heads. Maybe because you see more C6s on the road with it being a newer car?

Overall the C6 feels like a nicely improved C5. I used to avoid taking my C5 on longer drives because of the rattles, poor sound system, and lack of creature comforts. The C6 addresses all of those things nicely and I wouldn't hesitate to jump in my ZR1 and drive it a few hundred miles.

Few hundred miles?

We are road trippers. Took the C5 (with 113,000 miles on it at the time) from FL to AZ, CO, up and down Pikes Peak and back home in 2016. Great trip in a great car. Picked up the C6 in Jan 2017 with 62,000 miles on it. Took it from FL to Santa Fe, NM and then East on Rt66 to Miami, OK and back home last year. This year it’s off from FL to Victor, ID and South through Utah, Nevada and Arizona for the road trip.

When you have time take the thousands of miles drive instead of the hundreds of miles drive. The smile lasts even longer.

i had a super mint 04 c5z with 19xxx miles on it, it was heavily modded and would run with HCI c6zs

i ended up getting a c6z 2 years later in lue of the c5z.....i miss it EVERY day man.

pros--body lines, headlights, ls7, HEATED seats & NAV LOL those are nice

cons--interior in mine seems cheep because its not the high option interior with leather wrapped dash and carbon console and what not.(which comes with its own set of probs)
being a hatch is different to get used to also....

either car is awesome to have

im sure you will make the right decision LOL

My daily driver is far superior to my ZR1 for road trips

I love driving the ZR1, but I can't see myself ever taking it on a 1,000+ mile road trip. Would it do it? Absolutely! Would I do it? Probably not.
