Default Eibach Lowering Bolts

I purchased a set of Eibach lowering bolts to put in my c6 1lt. I attempted to put these in a few times, but my bolts are frozen and wont budge!

Either way, I did search to look for pictures, but could only find a few. I am asking for anyone using Eibach lowering bolts in their C6 to please post pictures.

Maybe this will give me some motivation to attempt it again!!

Be sure to jack up leaf spring to take tension off the bolt, then lube heavily with penetrating oil, WD40 and so forth. I have lowered all my C6 Vettes and they all eventually break loose...

Not all. I tried everything I could to break mine loose and couldn't. Then I took it to a local speed shop, and they couldn't break them loose either. Two combination wrenches lost their lives in the attempt. I ended up having to get new springs installed.

I have had some that were next to impossible, but I kept at it. Broke sockets.

Are you jacking the leaf spring up to take the pressure off the bolts?

I have had one c6 actually break the pucks that hold the bolts in place. The thing I found that works the best is trying to tighten then loosen the bolt. Repeat that process a few times and typically it will break free. I also prefer to use a wrench and not an impact if you can get under the vehicle.

Unbolt the upper contol arm, lower shock, sway link and link for mag ride if you have it. This will give you enough room to get a pipe wrench on the flange of the adjustment bolt. Just use the pipe wrench on bottom and 10mm on top. Gently work it back and forth.
An impact will prob snap the hex off or break the socket.
