There were even early indications of the first spring flowers stating to pop up out of the dirt and a slight greening starting to appear. This morning I looked out the window at 8" of fresh snow that fell overnight.

Argh! WTF!

Yeah, & how does that "awesome" weather work for ya in June/July/August? I'll take the 4 seasons any day thank you

Woke up to the promise of sunshine and a high of 4C. And so it was - a beautiful mid-Feb day. Snow is melting, potholes getting worse, and tomorrow's forecast is high of 6C with rain. The ground is still frozen solid, so there's going to be flooding somewhere for sure if the forecast holds. Then a few days of average temps, then forecast to be above average until the 28th, at which point I'm out of here for Barbados. Apparently, there's some rum that needs drinking, and I volunteered for two weeks.

LOL @ people in the south. They have no clue how much fun we have here in the winter. Snowmobiling, downhill and X-country skiing, ice skating, iceboat racing . . . a completely different lifestyle for several months out of the year. For snow-lovers this winter started out with a bang, been pretty lame lately though. Me, IDC either way.

Looks like April here!

Yes, I'm a big fan of his. Got lots of his recordings. We play a few of his numbers in our Dixieland band.

I was down in the Orlando/Venice area last July for almost 3 weeks, 90*-100* every day. I towed the bike down hoping to get some riding in, I got past the temperatures O.K. but just about every day, 3 P.M. the sky's opened up, poured!!! Finally after almost a week of getting rained on the bike went back in the trailer and stayed there till I got home. I could never live down there full time, maybe snow-bird it (which we are currently exploring) but never year-round.

Well to each his own. I moved to S. Florida in 1975 and never looked back. I spent 2 weeks in Portland Or. a few years ago and never saw the sun. It gets warm in Ft. Lauderdale but has never hit 100. It hits 100 every year in N.Y. BTW we do have winter. This year it was January 18th and 19th. Low of 41 high of 69. I can drive my Vette any day I want or my '32 Chevy for that matter.

Not hating on Florida Brother, I have plenty of family and friends down there. I love Florida, just not in summer...

Redwing blackbirds have returned here this morning, a sure sign of spring. Forecast for next 10 days is quite warm but very wet too.
I am at the stage where I would move to Florida in a minute, I would rather be too hot than too cold!

It’s supposed to be 65 today in the Philly area. Fast forward to Sat nite & we drop into the 40’s with a rain/snow mix with possible accumulation..

I love Kentucky. We were there with our '55 Nomad in August for the Tri-Five Nationals. Then I came home to Florida (LOL).
